my past 1,5 months..

so I was a little abscent :) and things happend as live just goes on and on and on....

I'll do a quick photoshoot of the past 1,5 months;

We've had some extreme fruits-of-the-region in our fridge for a while. lot's of strawberries, cherries and raspberries. Actually it was way too much as we ended up making smoothies with the raspberries cause we've had them for a while they already went squishy in their tiny cardboard boxes.

I've planted 4 different kind of seeds and 3 came out which are; basil, peppers and tomatoes. I wonder when the plants will give me their fruits s the weather is terrrrible here atm, only raining. I actually don't dare to put the plants outside now cause I'm afraid they'll get too much water/rain and that will just ruin all the "hard" work. So I'll just spoil them now inside the house and we'll just see how it'll go.

I baked cakes....and this is one of them. that same day I bought a new silicon mold for the bird/cherryblossom tree. Don't know how that would be for you, but when I buy something I immediatly wanna try it out. it's no fancy cake it's just 2layer spongecake with a cherry flavoured extremely purple colored icing nomnomnom. cause it was such a light snack it was gone in a couple of days :)

On to the polishes woooop
In this picture I finally try sort of a half moon manicure. The black polish is Illamasqua - Scorn, with Sephora by OPI - Shiny Dancer and topped it with Seche Vite...I love the blueish metallic look of Shiny Dancer and Scorn is one of the best blacks to work with...specially since it's originale a matte one.

 My favorite neonish pink/coral!!!!

China Glaze - Pink Plumera.

I was eager to pick out a pink colored from CG latest neon colors but it was soooo hard. I watched so many swatches and I decided on Pink Plumera and i ahven't regreted it at all!!! i love, it would look even better on a taned skin, but on pale it works out well :)

I've been waiting for this collection to be available for a while. I love pinks (and purples...) and i knew I had to have all 4 of teh OPI - Mini Mouse polishes...unfortunatly during the trip to my house 1 of the 4 bottles exploded and made a complete mess of the entire package, but I'll just re-order it cause i want them complete :)

I'm wearing If you Moust, you Moust with Nothin' Mouse about it, topped with Seche Vite.

This is actually the most amazing polish ever made!!!  Not the blue one but the black ;)
I'm wearing China Glaze - Techno Tael in 2 coats and topped it with....OPI - Spotted yessss

My special french friend :) has arranged a bottle for me during a tiny swap, big thnx to her mom, and i'm in love with it. I try not to use it too much, as I don't want to run out of it.
I'm still very into crackle polishes...no idea why?! But this one is just...special :)







Well that was kind of a fast forward view, I'm off to do my nails!!! Ooow I should really show my uber stash of swap goods from MUA. the pile is getting bigger and bigger :)

Let me start of with a little disaster :S

Just as we began this new year I thought..wow would it be nice to own some more Catherine Arley polishes..like the other 10 I don't have yet. I have emailed the supplier before but never got an answer to my questions and as time passed by and no attention from my side it just slipped away in a little forget corner of my mind. But looking at some other bloggers and their collections I reaallly wanted the other holos from that brand!! As I was searching the internetshop of what I think is the only selling point online for those CA holos...I found out it 2 numbers weren't even available anymore amagad!!!! The horror ggrrr... I did get my hands on 8...but for some reason I know I'll be hunting down the last 2 :(  Soo if someone wants to sell me those..or knows where to get them pwettie pls let me know ;) (nr 802 & 803)

As i was preparing my nails..cuticle remover etc etc pampering myself :) I picked out one of the "new" colors and BANGGGG....I was almost in tears.. well not literally bang, but check the bottle as I unscrewed the cap....there is no brush in the cap!!!

Now how awful is that! :S I did receive my money back for this bottle and got a cleaned old Seche Vite cap and placed it on, so actually there is no real spillage...all is left in the original bottle...but it sucks when things like this happen boehoeee.

Now onto the fun part :)

This ia an amazing blue scattereed holo from Ozoti Pro (nr 617) from my latest swap with sweet Michelle from Cosmetic Cupcake.

I looove it :) as I mentioned before with nr 521...these polishes really glide on your nail. It's some sort of super quality! Sparkles, shines and stays on for so long. I lub it!!

Sally H nail prism

Ooeeh look at this pretty pretty :) It's Sally H. Nail Prism Pink Rose Diamond, which I bought on Evulbay and not regreted it at aaalll. I love my Arley , OPI DS, Teeez, S-he holos...and all the bransd I spontaniously seem to forgotten :S Don't get me wrong, each brand has it's own uniquenes. But this one...was pure unicorn-pee on my nails. It applied perrrfect with 2 thin layers, no base or tc and lasted at least 4 days without tipwear. Love love love it!!

ow hai again :)

First I`d like to start with a couple of photos...aahhh been a while since I had polish on my nails. After the NY trip I had to give my nails a full week off as well. Not that I had tried on so many polishes there or treating them wrong...but they looked terrible. Last day I had to carry around my bags and suitcase etc etc and they just looked like they needed a little TLC first :)

But today it was time to get rid of that naked look!!

Let me introduce you to Catherine Arley 671...a holo. I can`t tell what kind of color it is exactly. It`s not 100% silver, it has a slight hint of  "sand" in it, but as you use your hands during the day I had the feeling it looked a bit violet as well almost blueish. It`s a very soft toned color that I reaalllly like!

Oeehh and I received an award!!!

Comparisson purple holos

Just a little comparison between the purple holos that I own. I must admit colors look alike quite more in daylight....

I haven`t worn Teeez as a full mani yet, I only bought it yesterday. All these 3 colors were applied without a bc and tc, and all are 2 layers. I mildly cleaned up just for the photo.

Catherine Arley 673

Too bad it`s a rather dark picture, but the color and shimmery holo effect represent the polish quite well :)

This is 1 layer of special holo-bc by Gosh, 2 layers of polish and topped of with 1 layer tc, polish glides on perfect, was easy to clean up. Sometimes holos do weird things when you apply a tc. Specially Gosh`s one looses it`s intensity a bit, but the Catherine Arley ones don`t. They just shine more and last longer. The polishes I own from this brand are all perfect, if you`re able to get your hands on em....do so!!

666-675 :)

Hurray, they have arrived weeeeeee. Safe and sound, all 10! It did took a while, at least the waiting for aprovel part, cause shipping took about 8 days. I had no clue which numbers to order, but watching other peoples' swatches only made me extremely greedy, so I limited myself to 10 bottles. Hhmm which 10 will it be....well why not 666-675 and if it works out well, cause there also are some reviews on damaged packages :S, I`ll just order another 10. But I don`t think I`ll be fed up with these, and it`s quite an amount....but thinking about the amount of money it cost...can easily buy another 10 :)

This is my action with a little Scotch-tape :) I didn`t dare to take on any difficult lines and figures, so I just went with an ordinairy french manicure-like.

This is 2 coats of Color Club - Fashion Addict...I love this pink holo-ish color. For the tip I used Color Club - Wild At Heart, only 1 quick layer. I waited a wee bit for it to dry and added China Glaze - Fast Forward Top Coat. Sometimes a topcoat can destroy the holo-look of a polish, in this case I didn`t see any differences.

To answer 1 question; "is the basecoat good for polishes that aren't holo too?" I wouldn`t use it for other polishes, as it`s a milky polish which evens it all specially for holos. I haven`t tried it myself, but I wouldn`t suggest it :) And now....on to the winner of these 2 polishes;

Make Up Store beige holoooo

Well helloooo holooo :)

I saw this color a while ago on someone elses blog and fell in love! I began my search on the web where to find this brand, and luckily there is a shop in Amsterdam yay. While I was buying my latest haul in A'dam I just had to visit the shop and seek their holographic polishes. I couldn't really descide which to take home....I have a silvery from Gosh..some OPI DS holos in pinkish shades, a S-he in light pink as well..ssooo either green which is not my thing, blue can`t see myself with that either, beige it is!

This color is named Madeleine, I`m wearing 3 thin layers on top of Gosh' fix base coat ( specially for holos ), and topped it with China Glaze - Fast Forward tc. I just love love love it shimmer and glitter. I'm pretty sure I'll use the entire bottle up, well I should cause it costed 14,50euros, which I think is quite a lot. But for now I'll just stare at my nails...  :)

Gosh Holographic

Readers choice I picked Gosh holo today :)

As you can zoom in, it already has some slight chips on the edges, cause I washed my hands so often today. I`m not wearing a proper base-coat and defo not wearing a topcoat since those ruin this polish...so it`s my own fault it chipped. Then again it was a rather okay priced polish and I`m willing to renew it every day cause it looks so special. I still love this flashy color!!

Latest TD haul :)

Don`t you love it when your package from Transdesign...or which other company you ordered from, arrives! I`m just a happy six-yr old on her bday :) Nowadays I let them ship the parcel to my work address, so my colleagues can have a look as well, and I got them a bottle of Seche Vite cause they were so curious about the product. It took me some time to complete this order since I wanted some effects polishes from CND and I couldn`t choose :S I watched and read so many posts by others and saw so many swatches that I finally came up with 3...actually i wanted 4, but can`t have it all right ;) This is the list what I bought this time;

OPI DS Signature

This week I was wearing my old time favorite holo, Signature from OPI DS collection.

I must admit, the latest 2 polishes from the DS line don`t realy have my interest. I`m more into the pink or purple versions of holographic polish. So I was very very happy receiving S-he 427 from a swap, it`s such a sweet color! I did some swatches on what seemed to me a pink holo by Gosh....I`m very curious about that one as well!

S-he + a little BM with For Audrey

A while ago I had a swap and ow boy do I love the polishes I received ;) 

In these pictures I`m using  S-he 427, 2 layers over China Glaze Strong Adhesion BaseCoat. After a couple of days I want to try out a little Konading...actually using the Bundle Monster plates. I tried it out with one of the China Glaze holos, He`s Going In Circles...but it didn`t apear over the pink :) It would have looked nice over a creme ink or other creme base, but not over S-he 427. A little frustrated as I really wanted to see some stamping over this polish I dug deep in my Helmer and got For Audrey...wow!! The 2nd picture doesn`t really bring out that feeling I had seeing it RL :) It was so so cool!! A great compination for the soft pink holo comnibed with the in my opinion soft creme minty color. I will try out some more stamping with these 2.

Channelesque + L8R G8R

Yay I had an awesome week...not only did my Herome plates arrive...my BundleMonster plates arrived as well, and this mornign I could pick up my package from eNailSupply. Will try out the new Zoya`s next week, but I had to try out Channelesque first and omg I love that color!! I ordered 2 bottles since I knew it`s a pain to get and I`d like to use the 2nd bottle for either swapping or one of the following give-aways, but applying the color made me wanna keep the other bottle as well haha.

I hope the pictures are okay, was already getting dark and I didn`t feel like walking downstairs for the light-box :S At least my weddingring looks great . If I`ll get too many complaints I`ll make some new photo`s, don`t worry!!

After applying Sally Hanson double-duty as a base-coat, I applyed 2 coats of Channelesque, and used image plate BM12 with L8R G8R from the OMG-collection ( both nailpolishes are from China Glaze ofc ). Topped it with SecheVite.

I like the way those holos really dance/play with the light, each angle gives a slight colorchange. I`d seen it with swatches from other bloggers and defo will try it more often :)

He`s going in circles...on my toes :)

Weewooo shiny toes :)

I received this polish with my Head2Toe order. It`s a soft green color, in the bottle it looks like it`s a glitter-polish. It glides very smooth onto the nails, I did use strong adhesion base-coat from CG first though, and dries up quite fast. After applying 3 coats I sealed it with Seche Vite....I received Seche Vite with the same order, only used it about 3 times and and I loooove it!! Polishes dry up soo much faster, really worth the money.

I can`t really say if this color, after applying 3 layers, is a glitter-polish or a holo. Tried to read some other bloggers reviews on it, some couldn`t come up with the exact as well.Sooo I`m letting it inbetween :) lovely color!

Gosh

550 purple heart, It's not purple...and it's not black. I do think the color is to hard on my fingernails, so I use it as toe-polish ooorr I use it with my konad kit for stamping ;)

549 holographic, This is my first holographic and I love it! I shocked my colleagues with it, since they had no clue such thing excisted.

555 silver, this is extremely shiny, not like the Minx mani`s I`ve seen on WAH-nails, but still shiny. I use it on my Konad-set as well.

553 black passion,This is a black but with silvery glitters in it so I call it shimmer. Love using this on my Konad-set as well. Don't like it as a base color on my fingernails.

546 rainbow, ooeehh my first flakie. I dont like to use this on it's own. Always on a different colored base, mostly purple or black ones. Love the iridiscent colors on the flakes.

565 fix base, a base-coat specialy for holographic polishes. I also use this for the OPI DS ones. OPI does have it's own base-coat on market, but this one works fine for me.

OPI

DS-diamond,  a holographic violet/purple finish. Defo needs 2 or 3 layers. and preferable a special base coat for holo's.

DS-signatur, a holographic pink/mauve. Havent used this color yet :) but I`m almost certain it will be like DS-diamond.

Yokohama-collectie Baby Blue, a nice iridiscent that flashes between blue and gold, very very nice!! Couldnt get it at Transdesign since its a collection that only came out in Japan and Australia. Dollupnails sells them, nice fast delivery and very friendly people.

Yokohama-collectie Cherry Blossom, a nice cherry-clossom pink that looks a lot ike Princess Rule! yet this one is more coral, whilest Princess is more pinkish. I must admit the name of the color triggered my mind, since I used the Cherry Blossom theme a lot on my wedding day :) Still a very nice color which not a lot of people yet have.
